The First Card Arrived

Today I received the very first card from a postcrossing friend. Thank you Anu for the gorgeous card!

My New Goal

I have been a member in Postcrossing for more than six years. I still love sending and receiving postcards but I have noticed that I need new challenges to keep myself as thrilled as I was earlier. Last year I had a personal goal: I tried to get 2012 sent and received cards by the end of the year. It was fun and I managed to reach my goal.

Therefore, I wanted to have a new goal for this year. It was not easy to decide it. I wanted a goal that should be funny, a bit of silly and yet it should be something that I am able to reach. Then I got it: I want to try to get postcards of Neuschwanstein Castle and have a blog about them!

I probably already have dozens of cards of the castle in my postcard boxes. My collection of postcards is a mess as I just put the cards in the boxes after receiving (and scanning and uploading) them. I have no intention to go through my collection and sort it to find the cards I already have. This blog will only show the cards I receive in 2013.

I have never visited Neuschwanstein Castle. If I receive enough cards, I guess I'll have to consider traveling to Bavaria...
